230 cid with powerglide

    can anyone tell me where i can find a kickdown linkage for a 64 chevy truck with a 230 engine and powerglide tranny? thanks

    Swamp Meets,salvage yards thats whats fun looking for it someone here may have one put the add on parts wanted list you might get lucky that way.

    I'm not sure if the kickdown linkage is different from a powerglide to a TH350, but it may be easier to look for one out of a 70's car (like a Nova or something) or a truck. It's more common to find those at the junk yards..

    it's been a while since I looked at a Powerglide, BUT, , ,

    I don't think Powerglides HAD a kickdown cable. Didn't they use a Vacuum fitting to control passing gear ?

    Come to think of it, dvalentine is right. Powerglides don't have a kickdown.
