I have a 1960 2WD Longbed Chevy. The front end (prior to dissassembly) sagged quite a bit. I was thinking that replacing the torsion bars would fix this problem. Unfortunatly, I cannot seem to find replacement torsion bars anywhere. GMC used to make them back in the day but no longer make them. Anyone have any ideas on either how to fix this problem or where to find new torsion bars?

With the torsion bar suspension it was made for when the front end sagged it could be adjusted to raise it back up. Crank on the bolts and it should level itself out. Just make sure you measure from the ground to the lip of the fender to make sure each side is the same.

    60 Torsion bars

I have access to a 60 with torsion bar if you really need replacements

The truck has been sitting for 31 years and still has a lot of good parts

Thanks guys. I'll give it a try. If not, I'll be looking for a parted-out truck.
