Today is a good day, no, a great day. Not because I leave tomorrow morning to go fishing for a week. Not because mama and I are going to have a perfectly grilled steak here in a couple of hours. Don't get me wrong, both of those things are really good.

The reason I'm on Cloud 9 right now is because my body/paint guys picked up my truck this morning to turn it from a chunk of coal to a brilliant diamond!

Life doesn't get much better than that!!:D

    Congrats! Ken,
We need plenty of pics! Is is close enough to go by and take pics every couple of days?
Can't wait to see the finished product. Oh yeah, I hope the fishing is great too!

You're closer to it than I am

Gater, I'm 722 miles from my truck. You're 387 miles. Would you mind swinging over every couple of weeks and take some pics and make sure they're doing a good job?:D

BTW, I gave them a stick and told them that there was no such thing as too many pics!

Once your truck is painted will you have it where you are? I never did like those long distance love affairs.

No joke~ I've GOT to be able to go out and...

place my hand on that b-e-a-u-t-f-u-l front fender.

(right at the top of the headlight)

From there, s-l-o-w-l-y slide my hand over that curve that goes from minimal to curvaceous.

    Ohhhh my....

Whoever designed these had a woman in mind. The curves~ the beauty....

Crap- sorry Ken. Thinking out loud again! I hope your trip is ...um... great! Post pictures- K?

    Wish I was there.

    Great News !

    Glad to hear it :D

I dunno how you stand not being close to your truck .

-DO- make a point to go by or have others go by just to look and show them you're highly interested and this isn't one of those stupid " work on it in your spare time " deals .

I see Zig you don't look at the front much. It's kinda like looking at someone with a nice but and beautiful long hair sitting at the bar then they turn around and it's a dude. Just picture a chevy grill there and you won't know the difference.:D

Ohhh Kevin, Kevin, Kevin... you try sooo hard...

Good shot, though. BUT, you see, ANYONE can fall for a beauty~

It takes a real man to notice the "inner" beauty.

Okay Okay! The guy who designed the Chevy truck was all about FINE women. The guy who designed the look for the G had big buck teeth, played a banjer, chewed backey, fished at a pond on his way in AND home from work, lived on a farm, and the closest thing to a fine looking women he knew was Goldie the cow.

I still love my truck, and I know it loves me!

it's been a while since I've picked on ya, so I saw my chance and took it. You guys should have seen the show this weekend. Flipper can vouch for me when I say you couldn't see it all in four days if you wanted to. Awesome cars and trucks there. I got to meet my hero (chip foose). What a nice guy and he had some of his cars there too. I'll try and post pics later.

Hey Ken congrats on the picking up for paint. If you need it checked on just call me or email me with directions and I'll make a trip for ya. I'm not that far you know. I'm pretty stoked myself about mine after this weekend. I finally got all of my parts for the front bags and I bought my engine dress up kit. I spent too much money, but that's okay.

    By the way, Kevin

Even though I know you would rather have a G, and you give me a hard time because I'm living your dream, I'd still like to say...

    HAPPY 27th BIRTHDAY!!!

    You young pup, you!

Thanks guys. I had to work today, which should be against the law to work on your birthday. Tab took me out to diner tonight which was very nice and brought by a cake and balloons to work. Makes you feel good when you have a wife that thinks of you.

Zig maybe one of these days I'll grow up and realize what I've been missing. What was I thinking going chevrolet when I could have had a real truck right???

    See????

One year older, and look how much brighter you are!!! Now my wall of hope is r-e-a-l-l-y starting to build for you!:D This "learning curve" continues before you become SO bright, people around you have to break out their "cheap sunglasses"!

Sounds like a good day~ Now go out and make it complete. Go out now (it's dark out) and set on that frame of yours and think about your plans for that lucky AD. Think about all those trucks you've seen. What will set yours apart? Then, reach down to that beautiful rattle can frame and...

Come ON people! Give him some privacy, PLEASE!;)

Your 47th will be even better!:D

My G could beat up your C. I am sorry, I just have to defend my people. BTW I think that I am the baby in this group. I have you beat by a year Kevin. Isn't it great to be half as old as your vehicle:)

    I'm back!

What an awesome week of fishing! The only downside to the whole trip was the 70 MPH blow out of the right tire on the boat trailer 60 miles from home. Lotta fun changing it in 101 degree heat!

Pictures big brother??? You take a week off to go fishing, we'd like to see more pictures, please.

-Sorry 'bout the blow-out. Just reading that made me have to drink an

    ice cold beer.;)

    Cloud 9 Again!

Just looked at some pictures from my guys. Trust me guys! If you want the inside of your cab to look good, buy CP's interior paint! Thanks, CP! These guys have over 60 years experience in the auto biz, and they were bragging on the paint! I'll give it the "acid" test in a couple of weeks when I go home, but if it looks half as good as the pix, i'm a happy camper!

    Cool Beans!

Sounds like yet another AD owner is getting closer to having a road-worthy ride...

    ~sigh~

I feel like I'm getting further and further away from you guys. As the song says, though- "One fine day..." (only change the lyrics to be about a truck, of course)

So now we have TWO pictures to look forward to. Fish -n- truck pictures! I'm happy for you, Ken!

    Hey Kens 50, I'm in S. Tex

Hi Kens, I see a lot of your posts. And I know where Tomball, Tx. is. My Daughter lives in Spring... I recently got a 50 GMC and am starting a rebuild. Not gonna be a show truck, just clean and well kept...
