    Nate, i've been reviewing your article on adjusting the valves. I have a blower and no fan blade. I'm checking into using the alternator ( i also installed a/c for the FL heat wave!!!) to rotate the engine with the plugs out. to get the correct sequence of #1 intake, #1 exhaust,... which way do i rotate the engine ( when viewed from the front)? Does it matter as long as i have the timing mark (BB in flywheel) in the correct location?

    thanks -- PUT-PUT

    Rotates clockwise when viewed from the front.

    Thanx Evan ;

    It matters not a whit wich way you turn it but in general practice turn it clockwise , this will come in handy when setting the static timing as it keeps the slack out of the timing gears etc.

    Thank you Coilover, Nate. I had used the wrench on the crank before to set pts on an old Volvo i had for 28 yrs. I noticed that one direction worked and the other didn't work very well. Of course i could have watched the valve sequence, but your help will quicken the job and save me time.

    thanks again!!
