Has anyone had experience with aftermarket doors or fenders? I've heard fitting can be a problem and the doors sound like tin.

No experience with aftermarket doors, but the originals aren't that easy to fit either:D.

As for fitting the after market doors I am not sure. As to the tin sound your are describing, just get some peel and stick sound deading from your local automotive supply store. They add a degree of insulation plus dead the road noise. Just did this in the roof of my truck and really made a difference.

    Real trucks rattle!

And make un-explectible noises! When I get done with mine, if it doesn't, I'll make it squeak! That I can promise you!

The rear fenders I've seen are worthless ~ about 1/2 as thick as the originals plus incredibly poor stampings .

Doors are NO problem , get some from a Big 'Bolt as they're the same as pickup doors ~ be sure to hold out for rust free ones , they'll usually have holes from old West Coast typ mirrors & brackets but those are easily welded up , getting the rust out of the pinchwelds & folded lips is hard .

I had some nice ones but I had to give them away as scrap as NO ONE would buy them due to 6 1/4" holes in each door from the mirrors added in the 1960's.....
