    Bed wood finishes?

    Hello,

Finally purchased the oak bed wood kit from Classic Parts. The wood is beautiful! So now comes the hard part - what you have applied to your truck's bed wood? I need your input.

I want to know what you've applied to your unfinished bed wood besides solid-colored paint, how many layers/techniques, and how it has held up over time? How many years? Any upkeep?

Our truck is a daily driver. We use it to haul our ATVs to the desert, to move friends' furniture, etc. The bed gets used and currently parked outside in the sun (yes we'll buy a cover). But I would like a beautiful wood finish that will last. Is that possible?

Try a search for marine/boat wood finishes. You might also find some good info.
