I have put a used mustang II suspension in my sons 49 1/2 ton. After much thought and work, I finally was able to get the steering all put together. To my dismay, I have discovered the shaft coming out of the steering box is slightly bent (was not able to tell it had this problem until Steering was hooked up). Everything turns well (possible very slight "hard' spot but not significant). I mainly can tell the shaft is bent slightly when the front end is raised and the steering wheel is turned fast. Will this be a problem and if so, what can be done to fix it?

well you need to decide if you will trust your life to a bent shaft... this is the main connection to the steering wheels it's worth going the extra mile....

    Yes....

This is a HUGE problem as bent steering parts tend to fail without warning.....

    I'd scrap it ASAP .
