After 4 years of work i finally got my truck painted.. What do you guys think. http://s222.photobucket.com/albums/dd74/jbrown12308/?action=view¤t=1949ChevyPictures001.jpg
Looking good there! What color is it? Is is non-metallic? I'm doing my in maroon and want a non-metallic! Love the way yours turned out.
Great looking paint job. That was the color I was going with if I hadn't gone back to original. Let's see more! Gater
The color is actually an original 1949 chevy color. Im not completely sure if it was a truck color as well but it was on 1949 chevy cars. The color is called oxford maroon and i got a metallic flake added in which i think makes the whole paint job.
I'm with Gater! Show us some more pictures! Oxford maroon was a very popular car color from '47 through '50. Commercial vehicles didn't get to have that fancy metallic stuff, they had to settle for Cape maroon poly. Sure looks good on your truck.
Nice truck In Texas this would be the near perfect Aggie Truck. Maroon! Probably some vintage merlot on the other side of the Rockies. Great Job Mr. Brown! gig 'em! Jim
here are some links to colour chips if anyone is interested i don't know how i found them or how accurrate they are 51- 54 cheverolet commercial http://ares.cs.siena.edu/~lederman/...1954DitzlerPPG/slides/1951_1954DitzlerPPG.htm http://www.tcpglobal.com/aclchip.aspx?image=1948-chevrolet-pg01.jpgl
Wow OOOOOHHHHHHHHHH - AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH She's beautiful! Love the deep look. Don't ya just hate Wal-Mart parkin lots, when ya got something that ya just want to show off and they put 2 1/2 inches of parking space between vehicles. (well thats what it seems like) Shows off the TLC that went into the prep work. Is the welting maroon? TB'sD
