Hi I'm new to this site and was just looking at some of the pics of everyones trucks. I'm in the process of building a 65 myself. As soon as I figure out how to post pics I'll do so to see what everyone thinks. I'm building a 383 for the truck and was wanting to know what headers you used, were they for a 66 or another model? rsibley

Thanks, It's good to be able to talk to others with the same intrest. I'm sure I'll have alot of questions thru all of this. I've got a long way to go.
They Look Like Hooker Headers That Are Built For Our Years Of Trucks, 64-66. Small Block Chevy. You Can Get Them At Jegs For About $150.00 Thats What Im Running On Mine, But With Coating.
If you plan on lowering the truck consider 3/4 Shortie headers. Full length headers tend to drag the collector over driveways, speed bumps, etc. The result is the bottom of the collector being shaved off, sometimes right up to the bolts. The 3/4 length will allow the exhaust to be tucked up under the truck, and out of harm's way. Val
I'm putting 2 1/2'' drop spindles on it. Do you think that's low enough to drag? I'll be lowering the back about 3. I just like the way full length headers sound.
I wont be lowering the truck so going to stick with these headers,I think they are hooker headers I like them even though their not coated.
