info for my 1952 truck

    where is the best website to go to to get vin # identification & body tag info.i assume that the vin # is the one on the drivers door.where would the body tag be located?also the engine in my truck is suppose to be the original engine would it have the vin # stamped on it& where would it be located? thanks tom

    Hi Tom ;

    The engine's serial number was usually used to register older vehicles , it's stamped on a raised pad just rearwards of the disributor .

    The truck's VIN tag is on the driver's door post , right where you'll see it when seated if you open the door ~ it's held on by a couple hex heads .

    Just so you'll know , the VIN is NOWHERE ELSE on the truck ~ not stamped in the frame , nada .

    A Buick GS eh ? my son had a 1967 with the " Switch Pitch " torque converter , what a rocket .
