Here is one approach for hooking up a charger to a truck with an under floor battery and a sealed on battery box cover. A piece of copper tubing is flattened, drilled, and attached to the battery terminal on the back of the alternator. Many of the ones we do have glued in carpet and sill plates which does away with getting to the battery from above. The batteries are side post and the box is hinged to allow the battery to come out the bottom. Since the terminal wire runs straight to the battery a vacuum cap on it when not on use prevents a lot of sparks. A similar easy to latch onto fitting could be used on the "BAT" terminal on the regulator if still using a generator. The 10g wire can easily handle 60 amps for charging but couldn't be used for boosting off with a dead battery.

    I Get It ! (clever)

At first I was wondering ' why the heck do that ? ' but then I saw the picture and all was revealed ~ you're talking about a Romping , Stomping V-ate where it's difficult to reach the hot terminal on the starter....

I'll keep my InLine 6 Banger thankyoverymuch .

    That's a clever idea though . ;)
