My 85 has horrible gas mileage. Is there anything I can do to improve it?

Might help if you post up engine, trans, and gears if you know them, as well as current mpg. These trucks don't generally get good fuel mileage unless you have a diesel or an overdrive transmission.

Check all the vacuum lines, make sure the EGR valve is working, and check the timing chain. If you don't have an overdrive transmission? If you don't, get one and you'll see a 3-4 MPG improvement.
