I have a '69 Blazer 4WD that I am doing a complete brake job on. The place I purchased the shoes from substituted AC Delco 228 pads for the Bendix 228 pads I had ordered. Problem is that AC Delco, Wagner and Raybestos all list 280 pads for the Blazer. Are these interchangeable?

    Thanks for any help.

Just lay the new ones over the old ones to check for the proper size and width if you are referring to the drum pads. I am not sure if one is harder then the other. If they are the same then I would not worry to much about the different manufacture. If the new pads are squared off on the ends then I usually taper the ends of the pads to prevent grabbing when you first install them. The last set I placed one were already tapered on the ends, but if they are not use a large file and taper them slightly to prevent grabbing.
