Can anybody help? My '61 chevy fleetside pickup starts fine with a little choke, then I pull out of the driveway, still fine. Afet about 10 minutes I push the choke in and it runs fine. After I stop for any length of time, I get back in, start it up and no sooner do I get out of the parking lot... it bucks and runs rough, then dies. I have to give it some choke to get it started again. Once I get it started it is fine. What could be the problem? New carburetor, clutch cable. Send a word, jboisvert
Try checking your timing or advance. Could even be your fuel filter. I'm up in Alaska and in the winter I set the timing up to run great when the motor is cold since I work just a mile away. Once it is warm it stumbles and dies at low idle.
