new alt. old truck

does a new style 1 wire alt. need to be grounded?, i keep blowin these autozone alt.s up? HELP!!

 

You Need The Conversion Wire, You Can Get That Here At Classic Parts, But I Would Say Its The Auto Zone Alt. They Do Very Poorly In The Starter, Water Pump, Alt. Hell, Anything Rebuilt Threw Them Is Very Poor. Just My Two Cents.

 

I agree had enough of the autozone parts.
