    Too Much NOISE ?

O.K. that's cool , to add power and loose the excess noise , add a crossover pipe on the exhaust up as close to the engine as you can reasonably get it , that'll take the ' bark ' out of it and improve mid-range power greatly too...

thanks Nate, She has headers, so I am not up on crossover pipe. Are you suggesting crossover to the headers? Buffed her up today and waiting for the title which was not signed and should arrive tomorrow signed. Be well all !!!

    Exhaust Crossover

Not to the headers , but in the head pipes where it'll be easy to weld , up as close as you can get ~ typically the crossover goes between the tranny and the flywheel .

It'll help no matter where you put it but the closer to the header's dump , the more effect it'll have .

Can you include a link here directly to your pics at snapfish. I am there and registered but I don't see a way to search for 47 GMC. Or, tell me how to find them?
    Thanks,
    Gater

Put the crossover in Nate and you were right, as usual, hushed the flowmasters. Thanks Nate. Got a Lion instead of a Tiger... Bad, Bad LSU.

    Welcome!

You are in the right place indeed! We always welcome fellow Gs. I have two. Old Yeller is my frankenmonsterbeast of a GMC truck (a little of this, a little of that), and My other is completely stock. I love them both. The beauty of AD trucks is that they lend themselves to endless possibilities based on your personal preference.
