Swapping motors

    hey i just have a quick question is a stright six out af a 53 bel air the same motor that would be found in my truck so could i swap a car motor for my truck motor. the car motor has a 3 speed but will my 4 speed bolt up. thanks in advance

    You trusk has a 235 or a 216 ? they do interchance but some minor fiddles to do .

    Why change unless your engine is dead or junk as the car 216 and truck 216 is the same , same for 235's ~ truck and car are pretty much the same .

    Trannys will bolt up no problem .

    Some trucks have slightly larger diameter clutches than cars but often a car will turn up with a truck flywheel and a 11" clutch...
