How hard is it to convert my two piece windows to a one piece?
Can I use a 1950 Truck window. I would buy the 1950 felt and rail to roll up the window. What else is involved in this. I am also thinking of buying an electric window kit, but I want the one piece set.

    Thanks,
    tex

Unless you're going to install air conditioning this is a most unwise idea . I know it looks " cool " and all the rodder magazines showcase it but those folkd never , _EVER_ drive those garage queens so they don't have to suffer no ventilation in summer and foggy windows in winter .

The simplest way is to buy a pair of pre - 1951 doors and strikers (need those as the latch is different) and swap 'em out .

Else maybe go to the Inliner's site as they're into hot rods and Kustom work .

    Good luck ! .

This swap can be done but its a real pain. You'll need to find the glass and regulators out of an earlier truck. I did this to my 53 but soon switched back because of ventilation issues. Nate is 100% correct on this. Its much easier just switching the entire doors.

Here's two places that offer vent window eliminater kits: Hagan, Carson City NV. 775-885-1969 and Hardy, Ft Worth TX, 817-228-8824. If you don't have a/c keep the vents.
