    Hello Everyone,

I purchase a New Port electric wiper system sometime ago (before they sold the complete kit including brackets) for my 1959 Apache, to replace my 1959 original electric wiper system. This kit requires using the wiper linkage from a 55 through 57 wiper linkages. Well I am fortunate to have both wiper linkages the 56 and the 59 type. Now I need to tell them apart. When I first purchased this kit, it was also prior to New Port of providing the bracket to ease of installation of the system.

My question is how do I tell the difference from the two wiper linkages 56 from the 59. Also what did the bracket mounting the original electrical wiper motor look like in a 56?

    Thanks everyone,

The ends on the 59 linkages that mount on the motor are twisted, also are hard items to come by, also the wiper switch,so dont throw them out. I believe the bracket is shaped like a U. Chris
