so here is my delama i was driving down the street doing fine and my truck just dies and wont start what should i look at to fix it?
Just a thought here. I had an '87 Suburban that did the same thing to me many moons ago. Come to find out, it was the coil. Factory defect. Chevy dealer fixed it under warranty. Might check it out.
Might replace the control modual in the distributer. They dont give you any warning when they go out. Always used to carry a spare. Chris
well i replaced the fuel pump and it started up and i drove it down the street and it died again.. now im back in the same boat.. would a control modual do that??
Read your old post, and YES a module will do that. Had 2 different ones do the exact same thing. Both would start and run for a few minutes and then die. After waiting awhile it would start again for a few miutes more. Like Azcarman says, carry a spare. I always do as they seem to go out at the most imopportune time.
