enclosed picture from my Restoration Projekt Chevy PU 1946.
I think the Part of Destruction is done.
Cab and Fender are by my Painter. I hope i get back before Christmas.
Tranny, Differential, Steering, Brakes repaired. new muffler installed.

    ..and now my questions:
    #
The Crank unit from Windshield is not there (i found the case but no bearings or gear inside). Do you know where can i find this part? I'm looking for this part at the internet but nothing to find.

All shocks are broken down. I think i change the old lever shocks to new Gas shocks. Could you give me a recommendation which shocks fits in a Chevy PU from 1946.
(if i use the original shock mount lower and drill a new hole inside the frame)

    mein Fruend!

There are 2 parts vendors that you ought to get the catalogs from if you're going to work on your '46. "Obsolete Chevrolet Parts Co." and "Chevs of the 40's". They both have a good selection of older chevy truck parts.

    your answer

I know these vendors. Chev's of the 40's is right now my best vendor. i ordered all parts from Chev's.
But they offer only rebuild service for the Crank Unit.
If you have another idea please let me know.

And i asked Jim Carter and Patricks. They said to me, sorry but we havn't.

Here's a link to a very informative website containing a lot of info on 41-46 chevys. My suggestion would be to email this guy and see what he might be able to help you with.
