Just found this board. I'm looking forward to meeting and working with you. I have a 57 'retro' Chevy 3100. She's a 235 with Offy intake and Holley/Weber 2bbl carbs; Fenton headers with Flowmaster 40's; HEI and alternator conversion; lowered 2.5". She was an Air Force truck with only 1100 miles when sold in 1969. She's pretty clean with a little over 20,000 miles now. I have lots of evidence but not 100% sure of this. I still haven't decided what to do about wheels and tires. I do have a disc brake conversion kit to put on it some day. You can see her in the link in my signature.
Clean Nice Looking Ride Those Air Force Boys know how to take care of equipment. Looks like you have a water cool intake? As fro tires, I like the original caps and side walls!
True; I opted for the water heated intake instead of running exhaust through it. The stock intake is heated from the exhaust side. The heat is to help vaporize the fuel. I'm not convinced that was the right decision but it's what I have for now. I think it takes to long to heat the intake with this approach.
