ok guys, im fixing to go look at another truck this morning. its a 1949 chevy 5 window truck thats been started. it has a chrysler 400 and the matching 3 speed auto trans. also used the front end and rear end from the same car. already has power doors, windows, power steering, power brakes, new glass, and im not sure what all else. the man that has it was rebuilding it with his 2 sons. they started it about 10 years ago and worked on it for about 3 years. then one son went to jail, and the other committed suicide so he just wants it gone now. also he has alot of extra body panals that comes with the truck. and the price, only $600!!!!!!!!!! almost sounds too good to be true, but i will post back when i get back later today.

dont ya think a 1949 5 window chevy would look good beside my 1950 long bed gmc 100?

Regardless of the modifications, the 5 window cab is worth that! Happy hunting.

    Good Luck Hunting !

Inspect all the suspension attaching points & welds very closely before driving it .

We'll need pictures and a detailed report , regardless of if you buy it or not

    yup, i figured

as i figured, it was too good to be true. the cab is decent, but the rest of the truck, well if you can call it a truck is not good at all. it has no bed. it has a home-made gas tank in the back of the frame, about a 70 gallon tank. the guy said it needed some "weight" back there. but i do have to admit, yellow paint with the purple interior was colorful, including purple carpet for the headliner.
