There's another supplier , a J im C arter or maybe Chevs Of The 40's that supplies rebuilt door hinges , finding good used ones involves finding old farm trucks , BIG 'Bolts with low miles as they're BIG but the cab and doors are 100 % the same...

Pickups and flatbeds etc. always have worn out door hinges .

Rebuilt ones are the way to go .

    Found these at Bowtie bits

Every vendor nowadays sells the hinge repair kit. However, I noticed a couple of weeks ago the Bowtie Bits carries what they call a "professionally" rebuilt hinge. Here's the link www.bowtiebits.com/store/store_product_detail.cfm?Product_ID=775&Search_Words=door hinges Probably would be a good idea to call them and find out the availablility of them, core policy, etc, etc before getting too excited about them!

New or rebuilt hinges from a vendor are pricey for sure. Best bet is to rebuild your own. Many vendors including our host site sell the rebuild kits. It's a PIA and tough to do, but well worth the results. If you don't even have any hinges, they can be had used and abused for cheap and then you rebuild them yourself. The pin wears out and the door sags. Pushing out the pin is tough from what I've heard. I haven't done it myself but others on this site have. Search the archives and you will find how others did it. I have been lucky. I have several extra doors that all came with hinges and found four that are still in good shape after all these years.
