 How would be the best way to replace the flat glass in a 1959 Chevy pickup?
The door glass and the vent glass need to be replaced.
I have read about some using setting tape but have not found much information on the technique.
One reply on a forum was to use motor oil on the setting tape and inserting the glass allowing the tape dry in the sun to swell and make a water tight seal??
Is this the prefer method or am I missing a step or better way?
    Thanks for all comments.

Pick up a copy of the book "How to Restore Your Chevrolet pickup." It has lots of great information about restoring trucks including replacing the glass. I love the book so much, I purchased an extra copy and donated it to my local library.
