Loose spring mounts

The saddles that are riveted to the frame that the top bolts of the shackles go through are loose on my '57 1/2 ton panel. Removing the loose rivets is no problem, but should I have the saddles welded to the frame or can I get bolts strong enough to just replace the rivets?
Or,...does anyone have a better fix idea? Thanx for any input.

FWIW,If it were mine I would be looking for bolts to replace the
loose rivets, and not weld them to the frame due to what I think
might weaken that area of the frame, just my two cents worth!
    Good luck,Allen

make sure you use grade 8 bolts. I would not weld it either.

if the mount brackets were loose-are they damaged from sliding around? Since they have to be removed, maybe replace with some tighter ones?

It's a front spring bracket on the rear top bolt. My inclination has been to rebolt instead of weld also.
Anyone got any idea what size the rivets might be that Chevy used throughout the frame??

Only manual I've had in 30 years of owning this rig is a '57 Motors Auto manual that came with it,...and I can say it's grease covered!!
