Does anybody know where I can get a dash for my 1964 chevy stepside that has the factory air vents and knobs in it?

    Thanks for any help

You don't need the whole dash. Just the center air vent, the delux heat controller, and the A/C under dash unit.

The air vent, with some cutting with a cut-off wheel, replaces the ash tray. The A/C air defuser behind the dash, holds the three knobs to the right of the center a/v vent. The three lever delux heater controller just replaces the one knob Thrift heater controller that you probably have now.

It is possible to get an after market A/C like Vintage Air or Old Air to work with the stock looking dash, but that's another, long story....

Vintage has just reintroduced an old school under dash unit called the Mark IV. It is a design from the late 60's early 70's. It is an under dash unit. It doesn't make the AC look factory. If you are after that old school look it is acceptable. No plastic here. List price is $300. Your local dealer may discount that a little. I have not purchased one yet but plant to.
There are a lot of these old under dash units on flea-bay. One thing you need to remember when purchasing an old unit - They were setup for R12 freon. That means the expansion valve will have to be changed to use the new R134. These valves are available at a knowledgeable parts store. I'm not sure of the price of the valve but would guesstimate $40 or so.
