I was thinking about installing a Edelbrock performer intake on my 283. My question is there going to be any problem installing this sine there is a PVC valve on the back of the block. Or do I just cover it up with the new intake and install a new PVC valve in the valve cover?

The intake fits fine, I have the same one on my 283. I put a small breather on the back of the block and used regular valve covers with a pcv vale. Here is a pic, I hope you can see the small blue breather on the back. If not let me know and I'll try to get another one for you.

that 283 looks sweet 62 short step ,on my 283 motor I did mine the other way blocked off the hole with the plugs they sale in parts store ,either way works good.Parts store does sale them two different ways metal one looks like a frezze plug or a rubber one that you put one your block and it expands as you tighten the nut in the middle of plug,I think mine was under $5.00 dollars.(Drabo) the way your most comfortable with will work.
