I don't drive my truck as often as I like. I have removed the wipers/linkages and the new port(12v) wiper motor.i also removed the heater core /ducts. this a 6v sytem but i have the resitor to run it on 12v.I only get the truck out in decent weather so i don't need these things. If anyone is interested let me know I'll try to post pics. I figured i get alot of good info from you guys. It's only fair you all get first dibs before i put them on ebay.
I could REALLY use a working heater with ducts. If it has the control valve with the knob and bracket, that would be even better. If not, that's okay too. Send me "private message" and we can talk about how to get it to me if it is still available. Andy
I believe if you check, wipers are required by the State of Wa dmv, drive in the rain or not. See line 3. http://apps.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=46.37.410 You might be ok w/o wipers and a heater to put around town on the 4th of July but Moses Lake is a long way from anywhere and those trips back from car events can get chilly even in the summer. That's only my personal opinion. I've left Toppenish in 80 degree weather and hit 40 degrees on the top of Snoqualmie on Mothers day and the heater in the 40 was a welcome item to have. I've also started out in perfect weather on many occasions and hit a rain squall on my way to another spot with nice weather.
I'll check into the wiper laws with the dmv.that's good to know. it's not really clear what they consider "good working order" when the wipers work some what when there are new with vacuum motors.
