I'm looking for a replacement long-block for my '65 230. Anybody know if the 250 is a direct swap ? Seems like I remember anything after '72 (?) won't work because the head and intake are integral. I would think there are plenty of these little inlines sitting around after getting dumped for V8's.

If I can't find a replacement, I may just get the 230 rebuilt. Let me know if you know of a good machine shop in the NW Houston area.
