Got my truck back from the painter last week :D and started right away installing all the goodies I bought from CP. Here are some Before and After pictures separated by about 3 and a half years. Thanks again to all for all the advice over that time. I still have a lot of odds and ends to do but looks like I'll be cruising around in it this summer and hope to cross paths with some of you along the way.

Texas 53 - Excellent work! The before and afters as shown are especially cool.

Was wondering about the grill - rechromed original or reproduction?

Thanks for all the nice comments. I wish I could contribute more expertise to this board but at the least I should be an encouragment that just about anyone can do this. Before tackling this, I was just your average "lefty loosey, righty tighty" shade tree mechanic (oil changes and the occasional brake job).

As for the grill, it's a reproduction that I bought from CP. I dissassembled it so I could have the in-between bars painted to match the rest of the truck.

    Pssst , Mike :

Wanna hear a secret ? I'm just an advanced shade tree tinkerer too :D

Somehow I managed to squeeze a whole lifetime of fixing old cars , trucks & motos out of it so as you said , if I can do it , pretty much anyone can ! .
