Does anyone know of a source for a kit to change my hydraulic clutch to a mechanical type clutch. I had done this on a mustang that I used to have and would like to do the same to my 1987 GMC short bed 4x4. I don't like the feel of the hydraulic clutch. I would appreciate any help on this matter
you may need to change the clutch pedal assembly to an older style mechanical setup as well as install the clutch pedal pivot on the frame that the hydraulic setup doesn't have...also the bell housing may need to be changed to the mechanical setup as well..you will need everything since it is a completely different setup. you should be able to get everything you need off a truck that has a mechanical clutch.
