vent window swap

    so.... i've got an extra set of doors. they're in better shape than the ones on the truck now, and i'd like to switch them out eventually, but they're the single window type, and i'd like to keep the vent windows if i could.

    would it be a total PIA to remove the whole assembly and put it in the older door frames? thanks!!!

    Yes

    But most Kustom guys want your early one piece glass doors so go trade 'em ! .

    there is some extra metal in the front of the track for the vents, and some mounts inside the door. You would need to strip down the doors and take a look, I think it would be a p.i.t.a......

    will do kevin. i took the glass out, but otherwise, these doors are pristene, untouched, new mexico desert tin.

    yeah my glass is out too but is all there. I'll get you pics of my doors. Don't remember if there is any rust holes or not but I'll get dad to send me the pics and I'll get them to you.

    Like I said.......

    Just make sure you get the latches and strikers if you're swapping from a pull down handle to a push button setup.....
