There is a tag on my booster that tells me the warranty is void if the check valve is removed. How would removing the check valve affect the booster and void the warranty?

If the engine backfires without a check valve in the vacuum line it can rupture the diaphragm in the booster--ruining it.

I have run stainless vacuum line to my booster. I had to remove the check valve for part size comparison. I read somewhere it would be good to use some kind of lube to replace the valve. Does anyone know what if any the best "lube" to use. OK no jokes here guys.

You're just wanting to pop the check valve back into it's rubber grommet , correct ? i just use some spit but anything that won't attack rubber will do .

This means that can of WD-40 is right out , it should be in the trash anyways :p

Silicone ? only if you're never going to paint anything within 1 mile of your shop .

ATF , brake fluid , rubber lube , all work well .

Oddly enough , K-Y Jelly works just fine too ! :D
    Oops .
