My Blazer needs new window motors in all 3 doors. I started with the drivers side, but I can't figure out how to get out the old motor. I can see the motor and feel some of the bolts, but I'm pretty sure theres a nut on the other side.
what i suggest is start by taping the glass up so it won't fall.. duct tape.. remove all the fasteners for the entire motor and lift assembly than slide the whole unit out of the tracks of the glass...they are on rollers. than out of the big hole in the door...when you change the motor on the unit....it may be bolted or riveted on but make sure you hold the scissor/gear assembly with vise grips or drill a hole through it and put a bolt in it because it is spring loaded.
Power windows or electric windows are being regularly used in vehicles these days as they are extremely practical for the car owner as well as the travelers. But these windows can also cause a lot of problems when they malfunction or malfunction.
