Hi, I have a 58 Apache with the shift pattern backwards. 1st & reverse are switched as are 2nd & 3rd. The levers on the transmission are going up which I think must be wrong but I don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
You didn't mention whether or not it was on the column or a floor shifter. I had the same problem with a shifter conversion from column to the floor. The linkage arms were installed upside down. All I had to do was flip them over and things were fine. Mike
