I have a 58 chevy with the original 235 in it.
Is there something I can replace the crankcase vent tube with so I don't end up with oil all over my newly redone engine compartment?

You might do a search on a PCV set up for your 235. Theres a thread in the 47-54 area check that out. Chris

Keeping the engine in a sharp state of tune (valves , plugs & timing) plus changing the oil regularly , will greatly reduce oil droplets blown out the road draft tube .
