    Hi everybody,

    now i can smile again. the first step is ready. the bed is done :D
    also finish the engine (rebuild), transmission (rebuild), brakes (all parts new, i remember the invoice :eek:). I think i have new friends (Jim Carter and Chev's of the 40's ;)
    Now i'm waiting for the cab. My Painter works on it and found a lot of rust holes at the rear, but i saw the primer on the cab today. I hope i can get the cab next week.
    Come back with new pics.....

    i have one question: i'm looking for pics from the windshield hinge. these parts are not at this truck (the windshield was w/o the frame) and i have to reproduce. (1/2 ton from 1946)

    Looking Good !

    Volker ;

    Ity's been years since I had a 1946 Chevy truck but I can tell you that the cab (and therefore the windshiled , frame & hinges) are the same from 1941 to early 1947 .

    If you go to The Stovebolt Page and look up a fellow named ' Mothertrucker ' who sells in the parts forum , he should be able to fix you right up with some hinges .

    Remember to send us pix of it as you go along .
