    I pulled the engine from my 37 Buick yesterday and unlike a 216/235/261 it doesn't have a coil mounted where you can use the holes for a chain bracket when lifting the engine. I pulled the rocker cover and fabbed this up from a 2x3x3/16 wall tubing. After pulling two rocker stand bolts and finding a couple a 1/2" or so longer I bolted it on using two 1/2" nuts to space the tube up enough to clear the rockers. The other two holes are for the rocker cover studs, they're like a 216 has and, no nuts on these. The holes on the top were cut with my precision cutting torch and big enough for a socket to fit through to tighten the bolts down through the rocker stands. Anyway, it balances the engine so well it might be worth trying with a stovebolt. I like one hanging by a single chain because you can twist, tilt, roll, or turn it without binding.

    Where's the pix of the rest of the car ? .

    Anyone ever look into putting one of these OHV engines into a Chevy ? .

    Nate, hope this doesn't get us kicked off a TRUCK site but since it is the only thing old I have (well---wife, but I won't even THINK about going there) that works and can take us on old car cruises so here it is. Not show but clean and useable, not a trailer queen.
