Hello. I thought I would introduce myself and post some photos of my recent fender modifications that I thought might be of some interest. I plan on running a 31-inch tall rear tire and lowering the truck to about where it sits in the photo, so I had to stretch the rear fender opening 3.5 inches forward to center the rear tire/wheel in the opening. The wider rear opening made the front fender opening height disproportionate, so I dropped the lips of the front fenders 2.5 inches. Here's a before and after photo of the front fenders (the blue tape marked my cut lines).
Welcome to the forum!!!Cool looking 63 truck can you post some more pictures of whole truck love looking at any 1960/1966 Chevy/GMC these trucks are getting more popular every day..
Thanks! Here's a photo of it after I mocked up the front and rear suspensions...note the top of the front fender opening now looks disproportionately high.
I like the front fender treatment. I am having a bit of the same problem with the appearance of my truck. I actually raised the back of the truck a little because of it. I never thought of dropping the front fender opening. Cool trick.
