Hello I am new to this forum and have a 1971 Chevy Super LWB that's been lowered 3 inches in front and 5 inches on the rear I would like to replace the carrier bearing driveshaft with a one peice shaft. I have a 468 BB and a Turbo 400 transmission. I just installed a powertrax unit in the rearend. I would feel more confatable with a single peice driveshaft. Is there a direct swap out there to do this.

I'm not aware of a direct factory replacement...my friends who have the LBs have had custom driveshafts made. The one area to look out for is the crossmember/trailing arm mount...my friends had to extend the driveshaft opening on the top because of the articulation of the rearend, especially in their lowered stances.
