I'm installing a 55 235 car engine into a 59 apache. I've done this swap before (1975) so my memory is a little dim. If I remember correctly the throttle linkage for a pickup is different from a car. I've got the correct rod from the pedal to the bellcrank on the side of the engine. My questions are, is the truck bellcrank different from a car, and is the linkage from the bellcrank to the carb different between a car and a truck? If the truck linkage is different, what years will work? I'm assuming 55 2nd series through 59. And my last question is, if linkage is unique to the trucks does anyone have some they are willing to sell? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, John
