I have a chance to buy a very solid, rust-free 57 panel from a friend.It is a long wheelbase model with 8 lug wheels . I have used camaro & nova subframes before on short wheelbase pickups & panels . Since this panel is a long one , I think I would like to use truck stuff under it . Has any one used later truck suspension under a 55-59 ? I've heard that 73-87 front suspension works well . I can live with 6 lug wheels & would like disc brakes & power steering .Thanks
I think that the Camaro sub frame and a good rear end with the big 5 bolt pattern, like from 85 or so Chevy wagon, would work very well.
