    Howdy-dew-dah "the cop"!

I say send it to Nate!;)

_or_ get Nate's phone number, get him on the line, hold the phone up next to the intake manifold and have Nate whisper in it's ear. That 235 will come right to life!

I'd imagine like most burgs, there should be a rebuilt shop somewhere around you?

Anyway, WELCOME! Tell us what you're working on!

    235 Stovebolt Up - Fixin'

Good morning , welcome and THANK YOU for wearing The Blue :)

First , o you just want it rebuilt to make it ' As New ' again or is it well & truly dead ? these old nails are *very* hard to kill , a buddy of mine bought a long dead AD and asked me to rebuild it , I asked why and he said because is hans't been run since 1978 , I took a look and repaired the broken rockeshaft oiler , tuned the living snot out of it and he and his mrs. have been happliy working it hard ever since as they bought it to helpo fix up the old house they'd bought .

So , if you really need it rebuilt , go to Jasper Engine in Colorado , they'll drop ship it to your door .

Or , you'll have to do it as NO ONE seems to be able to properly rebuild these simple , reliable old engines anymore .

Me , I'd take the time to do a " Make Run " and see whatcha got ~ it might just need a simple In Frame overhaul you can do in your driveway in two weeks time ...

So , let us know and we'll collectively help you out .

BTW : this is a freindly list so please remember to sign you name or handle (The Cop) to each post so we'll get to know ya , we have other Law Enforcement Officers here allready .

Hello, And thaks for the quick replies GUYS.
I rebuilt my 235 20 years ago and never turned it over. I got scared when I thought the engine was too tight (bearings)
It has been in the garge all this time.. Now I have a SON that wants me to get the old lady running again.

SOOOOOOO i need to find someone that will do it right.

    Thanks Again.
    THE COP
    Greg

    Easy - Peasy

Just look in the archives under " tune Up " , ' Make Run " " 235 " etc. , follow the directions _exactly_ no short cuts nor skipping steps and you'll prolly be rewarded with a fine running vintage engine ~ they're really hard to kill .
