any ideas or sources to make the rear reinforcement pad for the 54 and earlier model truck hood. Thanks
Several '54 / '55.1 Guys here Are prolly scratching their heads now (as am I) trying to figure out what it is you want to know......
The rear hood brace use to have a pad, see sect.11, sheet 5.00 in the 47-54 truck assembly manuel. The pad keeps the hood from flexing and rattling. Some have filled the space with seam sealer or some sort of foam. All I was asking is that if anyone has every seen any of the suppliers with the correct thickness pad. I don't think a maxipad would do the job. This is not a big issue to me, but when I did my 55 car serveral sources supplied this item but it won't work on the truck hood.
