After replacing the ignition wires and taking a second look at the H.E.I distributor (found I didn’t line the two 6 point stars in the distributor up together). After I corrected these small things, I tried to start the truck up again today and she fired right up! Boy what a SWEET SOUND! :D:D:D:D

    I'm BLIND !

....From looking at that impossibly shiny , sweet engine ! ('Motors' are tethered)

    GOOD WORK ! .

BTW : you may recall me occasionally babbling about my old Mercedes W-123 Diesel Coupe ? I've been saving for a long time now and it went into the paintshop yesterdiddy.... same color as your firewall is ~ Orient Red or Marron , depends on who's talking .

    You know how...

...when you have a ride you're proud of and you leave it in a parking lot, you just can't help but look back and admire it?

You'll be popping that hood a BUNCH, so make sure the latch is well greased!

    What an awesome job!

BTW, I love the engine compartment light you have planned for that!:D

There is noting sweter than hearing your engine start up for the first time. Your engine bay looks awesome. Some day mine will look nice like that.

    Thanks!

Thanks to everybody for all your help, advise, and compliments. I have learned allot from reading al these posts. I am still working out some kinks with the engine but I think I should be cruising down the road real soon.:)
