What have I got?

I just got a 1951 1/2 ton and I can't make any sense out of the numbers on the block. These are just behind the distributer 30 6D161488. The #s on the head are 3835913.

 

The casting # on the head corresponds to a '54-55 235. Don't know on the s/n (yet )

 

What You've Got :

..Is called ' Old Truckitis ' and it's not cureable I am glad to say....

Your presciption : leanr to adjust valves dwell and timing and you'll be a very happy man afore you know it.....
