Hi guys/gals I have a 66 sb fleet side basket case on wheels. where do I begin with the cab replacement panels? the floors, the outer cab corners, rockers, and cab supports all need to be redone. help!!!
Do you or anybody know where I can get the motor mount conversion or mounts for converting straight six to SBC?
did your six have one piece mounts if so you can us the same style of mount and put a sbc back in. they make a mount with steal in it so if you rip one it does not tear loss. and turn the motor in the bay.
I think he is asking about the motor mount "towers". There was a post in here a few days ago asking the same thing. I have been racking my brain trying to remember the vendor that makes "tubular" mount towers that bolt-in ( kinda) with no luck.. ( Ol' timers desease)... Can anyone remember that vendor ??? I may need to break out of lazy mode and go search that OTHER forum.... I have a pair of those that I was gonna put on Ebay, if someone's interested. I have since gone a different route. I installed them for mock-up purposes but never ran them. Be aware.....depending on your application notching the upper lip of the frame may be necessary.
Up thats' true. But just notch the upper frame rail with radiused corners to avoid the dreaded stress cracking and it should be fine.. Val
