I'm trying to refit a basket case and it seems that there is a gap at the bottom of the front fender where it wraps under the cab. Is this normal? One would think that it should fit snug, but I have nearly an inch. I have two sets of fenders and two cabs and they just don't seem to fit well. (I wish I could have seen any of it assembled) All of you who are farther along than me....anyone run into this? Thanks!

Oh yeah.... the truck is a 54 3100

Matt I have a 55 1st and I ran out and looked and there is no gap whatsoever. In fact there is a fender welt between the fender and the cab and the two parts are snug against this welt.

has anyone put one together and had to pull it up a bit with the bolts? maybe the fender has flattened out from sitting on its side forever?
