Getting a 1963 c-10 shortbed fleetside

    Well Im getting another project truck in the near future is a 1963 c10 shortfleetside its got a 3 speed on colunm with a 6 clinder with it thats a 235 or 250 or 292?:rolleyes: got wait tell its paid off and get it home to find out on motor!! after I get it Ill post pictures on here for everbody!!! I been wanting a wrap around windshield truck along with my 66:D.My plans are putting in a cammed up 283 :eek: got extra one with only 58,000 documinted on it from a 66 3/4 ton truck I parted out couple years ago,plus I do have a a 2 speed powerglide that will go in the 63:cool:.Its oldschool way but I love that!!

    Congrats on the new purchase 283man. So is the 63 the one from lilred in KC? If so, looked like a nice project truck. Give us more details and pics when ya can. Sounds like you have a good plan for it. (Hhmmm, I wonder why you're puttin a 283 in it? I guess 250man just wouldn't sound right, would it?? J/K lol)

    Yea its that one off lilred in KC:)thats funny 250 man:DI love the 283s they stoped building them after 10 very good years with them 1957 to 1967. thanks Tim E and thank you 62 short step.. get the pictures after get it home..

    Here's my 63 on an 85 Caprice frame. Hard to imagine but the wheel base and track width are PERFECT for the short wide. The mounting was pretty straight forward but the bed floor has a kick-up to clear the coil spring towers. Probably not much of a hauler any more but it sure rides good.
